Passed away May 13, 2011 at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Joan (nee Perry) Spurr; dear son of the late George and Laura Spurr; dear father of Tommy (Debbie) Spurr Jr.,Pam (Steve) Bonagurio, Kim (Jerry) Perez, Beth (Marty) Issa, Curt (Diann) Spurr; dear grandfather of Nicole, Nathan (Brandi), Matthew (Ashley), Andrew (Lauren),Louis,Lauren,Laura Courtney, Dominic, Jerry, Tiffany, Mallory, Tommy III; Evan, Tyler, Christian, Raymond and Cameron; great grandfather of Megan, CJ, Charm, Isaac, McKenna, Juliana, Hunter and Brayden; dear son-in-law of Fern Perry; dear brother of Wanda (Bud) Miles and Betty (Bob) Danielson; brother-in -law of Julie Graves; our dear uncle and friend to many. Services: Visitation Sunday, May 15, 2011 4 - 8 pm. McLaughlin Funeral Home. Visitation 10:30 until 11:30 service time, Monday, May 16, First Baptist Church of Fenton, 650 Oakwood Dr., Fenton, MO 63026. Interment National Cemetery. 2011-05-1509:39:59 Tom Popo "the pope" Spurr I could write for days about all the things you've taught me, and all the beautiful memories we've shared. You went above and beyond the role of a grandfather, and succeeded to fill the role of best friend. You've taught me everything from putting my first worm on a fishing pole to working hard to reach a goal because as you say "Almost only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades." You showed us what family means, and left behind an amazing house on the lake for us to continue to build memories. You never let a visit go by without telling your grand daughters how beautiful they were, and telling your grand sons what great men they've turned out to be. Your strength, and great character will live on in each and every one of your beautiful children, and grandchildren. When i think of you I wont feel sad, but proud to be your grand daughter. There is a place for the boss in my heart forever, and your pumpkin is going to make you proud.

2011-05-1509:26:16 My thoughts and prayers are with the Spurr Family. Tom Spurr was a wonderful person and a wonder influence in my younger years. I have often thought about riding on the bus and picking up all those kids on Sunday morning with fond memories. Tom was honest and true to himself. Love you all.

I am grateful Kim and your family let me share in this love. You loved me like a son and I loved you like a father. I promise I will take care of your daughter and grandchildren. I think you know that. They say a man's wealth is not judged by what he has, but by what he gives. And you gave until you had no more. You were the richest man in the world. Your children and grandchildren adored you and will miss you greatly. God is lucky to have you. R.I.P. I love You.
