Robert "Bob" V. Owens

of St. Louis and Wappapello, MO, entered into his Heavenly home on Friday April 17, 2009.

Bob was born on Sept. 16, 1929, son of the late William and Anna Owens; dearest husband of Frances Owens; beloved father of Karen (Sam) Lane, Judy (Chuck) Jones Allston, Debbie (Dominic) Vitale, Steve (Mary), Bobby (Regina), Mickey and Kevin Owens, Tracy (Jarrod) Owens Zakibe and the late Donna Owens; dear grandfather of the late Robert Michael Owens; dear grandfather of 21; great grandfather of 35; brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend.

Bob served with the U.S. Army in Korea. He was a proud member of Teamsters Local 600 since 1952.  Special thanks to Tammy, Tina, Kerry, Dr. Burns and the staff of St. Anthony's Hospice (all angels on earth) for their care, compassion and help during Bob's battle with colon cancer. SERVICES: Gathering of family and friends at McLaughlin Funeral Home, 2301 Lafayette Ave., Tues., April 21, 6 p.m., followed by a Memorial Service 7 p.m.
